8^th Conference on Applied Mathematics and Scientific Computing

The aim of the Conference is the exchange of ideas, methods and problems between various disciplines of applied mathematics. Non mathematicians using mathematics as a tool are also encouraged to take part in the Conference.  The first two were held in Dubrovnik in 1999 (ApplMath99), 2001 (AMSC2001),  the next three on Brijuni in 2003 (ApplMath03), 2005 (ApplMath05) and 2007 (ApplMath07); then in Zadar (ApplMath09), and the last one in Trogir (ApplMath11).  Each one had a special topic, see the related web sites. Proceedings have been published by Dept. of Mathematics, Univ. of Zagreb (ApplMath99), by Kluwer publishers (AMSC2001), by Springer (ApplMath03) , Annali dell’Università di Ferrara (ApplMath05, ApplMath07), and accepted papers from the ApplMath09 and ApplMath11 appeared in Mathematical Communications.

Registration and accommodation:

• Conference  fee (before April 15^th, 2013) The basic fee is 150 €, for graduate/postgraduate students  and for accompanying persons who wish to take part in social activities the fee is 100 €. Receipts for the fee and certificates for attending the conference will be issued to all participants at the beginning  of the conference. If you need a letter of invitation, please send an email message to the conference mail. The fee covers abstract book, coffee and all social activities.
• Conference  fee (after April 15^th, 2013) the basic fee will be 200  € for all participants and 100 € for accompanying persons.
• For payment, use our sponsor web site. Click the flag in the upper right hand corner on the web page to change language and currency settings. The price in Croatian currency (kn) may vary daily. After adding the fee in the "basket", click "basket" on the upper horizontal menu, and upon confirmation you will be prompted for a method of payment. The prices above designate bank transfer, whereas paying by credit cards will increase the price slightly, depending on the cardholder. If in doubt, please read the instructions on the web site; if it does not help,  send a mail to the conference mail address. Note that the bill will be automatically send to the credit card owner.

Abstracts:

Abstracts should be written in LaTeX, using the conference abstract style, and send to emarusic@math.hr with subject field: ApplMath13, abstract. Instructions for using the style are given here (tex, pdf); tex file can be used as a template. Upon sending the abstract, you will receive a notification, and an email regarding its acceptance within next  few working days. In case you do not, please send an email to the conference email address as soon as possible.

Proceedings:

Full text articles should be submitted  by the end of October 2013 to Mathematical Communications. Please read instructions for authors at http://www.mathos.unios.hr/mc/ , and submit your manuscript into the section "ApplMath13". We do not expect the papers to exceed 20 pages; the publishing of longer papers must be negotiated with the editor.

Social activities:

on Thursday June 13 afternoon, boat trip to Skradin and the National park Krka via the Krka river. Conference dinner in the evening in Skradin.
